Jan Brown

Jan Brown is a Respiratory Support Nurse at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield.

Jan trained in Merseyside and has experience in emergency admissions, coronary care and latterly as the sister in medical outpatients. Jan has worked as a specialist support nurse in respiratory medicine for the last 3 years. Her main interests are Asthma, Interstitial Lung Disease and Bronchiectasis.

Jan works five days a week at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital where she reviews asthma patients who are acutely unwell and supports then through to discharge. She has a nurse led clinic once a week and assists with the other four nurse led clinics that occur weekly. Asthma referrals from primary care are seen and she has a special interest in difficult asthma, interstitial lung disease and bronchiectasis.

Jan is trainer for Respiratory Education UK. She jointly facilitates and teaches on the asthma module twice yearly.

She has a BA Hons in Healthcare Practice.
